Gmail is commonly used in daily life because it offers numerous benefits. Aside from sending and receiving email, this popular email service can perform additional functions that you may not be aware of.

Whether you’re a student, a corporate employee, an employer, or a business owner, these simple hacks will help you complete your tasks faster and more easily.

Hidden Gmail Tricks You Need to Know

The Daily Star has a list of some techniques you can use with Gmail. Some of them may appear unfamiliar to you, but don’t be concerned about FOMO (fear of missing out). It’s quite common for other people to be unaware of these hints, which is why this article exists.

Smart Compose

When you’re already in front of the computer, about to type an email to a recipient, you can’t think of the right words to note on the response.

If that’s the case, you could use Gmail’s smart compose feature to get a hint on what word to type next. The system predicts the next word or phrase in your sentence using the app’s artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm.

You can use the tab key to generate some suggestions here. If you want to enable this feature, go to Settings and then to the General tab. Make sure Smart Compose is turned on.

Depending on your preferences, this makes email writing more personalized and simpler. You can also click “More Options” and select “Smart Compose Feedback” to create a more personalized email.

Gmail Filters and Labels

Aside from the Smart Compose feature, Gmail allows you to create new filters and labels. It’s critical to always organize your folder, so you don’t miss anything when looking for a specific email.

Having a personalized label gives users more peace of mind because it saves them time and space for other write-ups. The “create new label” option can be found on the left-hand side of Gmail.

Meanwhile, if your emails have labels, filters can help you sort them into categories. This is extremely useful for those who want to easily delete and archive spam emails in their folder.

Email Scheduling

Did you know that you can schedule your emails in Gmail? This fantastic trick will allow you to send your email at a specific time and date.

When sending emails ahead of time, especially if you are working for a client in different time zones, the scheduling option will be your best friend.

To begin using this Gmail hack, look for “Send” and tap the down arrow next to it. You can now choose a date and time for your response.

Unsend Option

Some people are careless when it comes to sending emails to other people. It usually occurs as a result of confusion and errors in email addresses. However, if this occurs, you can easily undo any emails you have sent to the recipient.

You can do so by going to the Settings menu. Then select the “Enable Undo Send” option. You should not expect this to take effect immediately because you must wait for the delay period.

Set the time for the setup to anywhere between 5 and 30 seconds. In this manner, you can cancel your email in a matter of seconds.

Many users have recently expressed dissatisfaction with Gmail’s current design. However, Mashable reports that there is a way to restore it to its original design.
