Don’t be alarmed if you lose or misplace your Apple Watch. You can track it down and retrieve it using the device’s built-in features.

When you buy an Apple Watch, it is paired with your iPhone, allowing you to navigate the device using your smartphone.

Using Find My

If your Apple Watch goes missing, you can track it down using your iPhone’s “Find My” feature.

Simply go to “Settings” and tap your name at the top to enable “Find My” on your iPhone. Scroll down to “Find My” and enable “Find My iPhone.” Then, enable “Enable Offline Finding” and activate “Send Last Location.”

When you enable “Find My” on your iPhone, the same feature is activated on your Apple Watch.

After you’ve enabled the feature, open the “Find My” app on your iPhone and select “Devices.” Scroll down to your Apple Watch in the list that appears and tap it.

The app will display a screen map that shows the location of your Apple Watch.

If your Apple Watch’s battery died, the “Find My” app wouldn’t show you where it is now, but it will show you where it was the last time it was found.

Using iCloud

If you don’t have your iPhone, you can still access the “Find My” map via iCloud.

All you have to do, according to Apple, is go to iCloud and sign in with your Apple ID.

Then, click “Find iPhone” and then “Devices.” To view the map, scroll through the list and select your Apple Watch.

Play Sound

If you leave your Apple Watch in a familiar location, such as your home or office, you can locate it on a map and easily retrieve it.

According to HowtoGeek, if you’re in the location where you left your device but still can’t find it, you can use “Find My” to make your Apple Watch play a sound.

Because the device is small and the speakers are small, you must be close enough to it to hear the sound. You can, however, keep playing the sound until you find your Apple Watch.

When you click “Play Sound” on iCloud or the “Find My” app, it not only plays a loud chime to help you locate the device, but it also displays a message on the Apple Watch and sends you an email notification that the “Find My” app’s sound feature was used.

Lost Mode Feature

If you leave your Apple Watch in a familiar location, such as your home or office, you can easily locate and retrieve it using a map.

If you’re in the same location where you left your device but still can’t find it, HowtoGeek suggests using “Find My” to make your Apple Watch play a sound.

You must be close to the device to hear the sound because it is small and the speakers are small. You can, however, continue to play the sound until you locate your Apple Watch.

When you use the “Find My” app’s sound feature, it not only plays a loud chime to help you locate the device, but it also displays a message on the Apple Watch and sends you an email notification.

If Your Apple Watch Doesn’t Appear On The Map

The “Find My” feature is the only way to track or locate a lost or stolen Apple Watch, according to Android Authority.

If you do not enable the feature on your device before it goes missing, no other Apple service can find, track, or even flag the device for you.

You can, however, protect your personal data by putting your Apple Watch in Lost Mode. When it is in Lost Mode, you must enter the passcode before you can disable “Find My” and pair it with another iPhone or erase the data on your Watch.

You can also change your Apple ID password to prevent unauthorized access to your iCloud data.
