According to a recent poll, residents of California do not want incumbent President Joe Biden or former President Donald Trump to run for office in the upcoming 2024 elections. Instead, California Governor Gavin Newsom and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis are attracting national attention for their broad brushstrokes against their respective parties.

President Biden’s approval ratings in California remain low, as does conservative support for Trump’s possible third presidential bid.

According to a California poll, a Trump-Biden rematch in 2024 is unlikely.
According to the most recent University of California – Berkeley Institute of Government Studies poll, voters are turning against a Joe Biden-Donald Trump rematch in the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.

President Joe Biden may not expect California’s support in the next election, as the number of voters opposing his White House bid has risen to 61%, with only 31% agreeing.

Republicans are 87% opposed to his re-election to the presidency. Democrats, on the other hand, are evenly divided at 46%.

Meanwhile, the state of California is even more opposed to Donald Trump’s bid for re-election; 64% of voters strongly oppose his bid, with only 25% supporting him if he continues.

According to IGS poll results, a rematch between Biden and Trump in 2024 is unlikely in the state. This is due to their preference for newer candidates, such as the incumbent governors of California and Florida.

Governor Gavin Newsom’s broad actions and recent voting preferences beg to differ with his repeated denials that he would not run for President.

There has been growing speculation in recent months that California Governor Jerry Brown will run for President Joe Biden’s Democratic Party seat.

With Biden’s approval ratings on the decline, Governor Newsom’s aggressive policymaking was said to boost his chances of party support.

Governor Gavin Newsom emerged as the top choice of all California registered voters in a recent poll. Simultaneously, he is tied with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders on the list of Democratic-only voter preferences.

In her home state, Vice President Kamala Harris received only 10% of the vote.

Despite 71% opposition, President Donald Trump remained the Republican Party’s top choice to run for president. If he withdraws from the race, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will take a commanding lead over former Vice President Mike Pence.

Governor Ron DeSantis was widely regarded as Trump’s only formidable opponent in the party. According to the findings, 53% of registered Republicans in the state would vote for him if Trump were not running.

However, the Berkely poll is only a bird’s-eye view of the upcoming presidential campaign in 2024. As of this writing, neither President Biden nor former President Trump had officially announced their intentions to run for President again.
