Camila Cabello has been booked and busy recently, from spending time in Los Angeles with her new boyfriend to returning to Miami for a Bad Bunny gig. This does not preclude her from having some fun online.

However, on a flight to Florida, Cabello joined in on a TikTok craze of dueting creator @katiegregsonmacleod’s original song with new lyrics that fans believe are about Shawn Mendes, despite her already seeing some new.

On Friday, August 12, the pop sensation posted to TikTok, noting in the description that she adored this ballad so much that she had to create her own rendition of it while flying.

“I need him like water. I joke that he’s alright. I won’t tell my friends I slept over for three nights.” She continues, “I need him like water. I joke that he’s alright. I’m a f*ing coward. I just want a good life.”

The video has received 1,600,000 views since it was posted, and it’s safe to say that fans have been wondering who inspired each phrase. Numerous signs pointed to her ex, Mendes, particularly now that she is dating the inventor of a dating service, Austin Kevitch.

One fan speculated that “the Pisces in her is afraid of falling in love again, but she can’t help it anyway, and her ocd is probably making it difficult too.”

Others remarked on how emotional it must have been for her to write about heartbreak, and one user even TAGGED Mendes in the post.

Was he inspired to focus on his own love life by his ex-girlfriend Camila Cabello? He reportedly entered the dating scene after canceling his tours to focus on his mental health, which he began by going to the beach and having fun.

Mendes has also joined Raya, a celebrity dating app that competes with Lox Club and has been dubbed the “Jewish Raya.”

The 24-year-old artist, according to The Sun, has linked his official Instagram account to the profile, which features several images of himself, a waterfall, a self-help book about being relaxed, and the song Bandana by Fireboy DML & Asake.
