Reports about Meghan Markle allegedly bullying a number of palace staff made rounds right after her shocking departure from the palace with Prince Harry. It was claimed that the Duchess of Sussex had mistreated several staff members.
The bullying allegations have been surfacing online for quite some time already. Recently, Meghan Markle’s lawyer has broken her silence and vehemently debunked the mistreatment reports.

Meghan Markle’s Lawyer Says ‘Bullying’ Is A Very Damaging Term
Solicitor Jenny Afia stated that bullying was a “very very damaging term…particularly for career women.” The attorney from libel law firm Schillings spoke about Meghan Markle’s bullying allegations in a podcast with BBC journalist Amol Rajan.

Afia, who spoke with the permission of Meghan Markle, denied that Prince Harry’s wife was a bully. In the podcast titled “Harry, Meg and the Media,” she stated:
“I think that first thing is to be really clear about what bullying is because the term gets used very, very casually. My daughter called me a bully last week when I asked her to brush her teeth — she’s seven years old. So the term is used very freely and it’s a very, very damaging term as we know, particularly I think for career women.”

The lawyer of Meghan Markle went on to say that:
“What bullying actually means is improperly using power repeatedly and deliberately hurt someone, physically or emotionally. The Duchess of Sussex absolutely denies ever doing that. Knowing her as I do, I can’t believe she would ever do that. I wasn’t there at the time but it doesn’t match my experience of her at all and I’ve seen her at very, very stressful times. That story is absolutely untrue that she is a bully. That said she wouldn’t want to negate anyone’s personal experiences.”
In March 2021, The Times reported that Meghan Markle was accused of bullying several palace staff. The news outlet published allegations, including former Sussex communications secretary Jason Knauf’s email written in 2018.

The email, as per E!, read:
“The treatment of [name redacted] was totally unacceptable. The duchess seems intent on always having someone in her sights. She is bullying [name redacted] and seeking to undermine her confidence. We have had report after report from people who have witnessed unacceptable behavior towards [name redacted].”
Not only that because Prince Harry allegedly pleaded with Jason Knauf not to pursue his complaint. However, the “Finding Freedom” book of royal experts Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand suggested that the husband of Meghan Markle never spoke to Jason about the bullying allegations.

A spokesperson for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry called the accusations a “calculated smear campaign.” A close pal of the former “Suits” actress, Janina Gavankar, also defended Meghan amid the bullying allegations, saying:
“They didn’t hide that fact. It was without doubt done intentionally to discredit the duchess. I have known Meghan for 17 years, and I have seen the way she regards people around her and the people she works with, and I can say she is not a bully.”
Buckingham Palace has since launched an investigation into the claims that Meghan Markle bullied several staff members. However, it was announced in June that the results of the investigations were being delayed.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Accused Of ‘Dodging’ Archewell Duties
Aside from bullying allegations, Meghan Markle, together with Prince Harry, is facing another issue recently. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are being accused of “dodging” Archewell responsibilities.
The royal couple’s intentions to the Archewell Foundation have been questioned after the release of its 2020 financial report. Vine panelist Andrew Pierce called out Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, saying that the pair spent more money on the legal fees for the charity than on running the initiative in the first place.

During the program, Andrew Pierce clapped back at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stating:
“The reason I mentioned they’re not at their home with nine bathrooms is that they’re more intent on making money for themselves to fund their fabulous multi-millionaire lifestyle.”
Andrew Pierce furthered:
“That’s what’s going on, they’ve done TV commercials, they’re doing TV programmes. They’re not doing anything with their charity because they’re concentrating on making money for themselves, that’s up to them. That’s their priority. So they thought about that when they launched that charity in such a blaze of publicity.”

Both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have yet to comment on the latest allegations of Andrew Pierce.
